HISTORY
Founded on July 25 1975, FECOAGRO – Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of the State of Santa Catarina, gathers today 11 cooperatives and provides services in the area of commercialization of the agricultural production as well as being responsible for the purchases of the main agricultural inputs and products distributed by its associated affiliates. In the production sector, FECOAGRO provides commercial consultancy and information about the grain markets, passing updated information on to the cooperatives.

AGRICULTURAL INPUTS
In the inputs sector, the Federation centralizes the collective purchases of fertilizers, agrochemicals, sacks and seeds, in order to find better deals and avoid excessive price differences between neighboring cooperatives; in addition to organizing the purchases with quality products and adequate flow of inputs at the right times. It holds a Purchasing Center located in Chapecó, which coordinates collective purchases of agrochemicals and supplies (products from supermarkets).
RADIO PROGRAMS FOR THE FARMER
It holds an informational system of prices containing analyses and perspectives that are aimed at the affiliated farmers, where through a network of radio stations that covers all regions of coverage of the cooperatives, reports the price changes daily, as well as discussing matters of farmers’ interest. SHOWROOM OF PRODUCTS OF THE COOPERATIVES
The “Espaço Cooperativo. com”, the Showroom of Products of Cooperatives, is located on the first floor of Aury Bodanese Building, right next to the headquarter of FECOAGRO, in the center of the capital. FECOAGRO has set up a modern establishment for display, demonstration and tasting of the products of the affiliated cooperatives of Santa Catarina that participated in the project. At this place, there are products of Cooperalfa, Copérdia, Cooperitaipú, Cooperauriverde, Cooperja, Coopervil and Coopercentral-Aurora cooperatives. The Aurora products include cold cuts, dairy products, pre-prepared products, milk, cheeses and juices. Coopervil cooperative of Videira presents the sparkling wines from Champ Solair and Videira, Solar das Videiras and Videira wines, and Sabore juices. There´s also flour and instant coffee displayed and demonstrated: Cooperalfa cooperative, of Chapecó; flours of Cooperitaipú cooperative, of Pinhalzinho; flours and dairy products, of Auriverde de Cunha Porã cooperative; flours of Copérdia de Concórdia cooperative; and rice of Cooperja cooperative, of Jacinto Machado. The facilities of the Showroom display the high quality of the products of the cooperatives in addition to having a sales professional to coordinate advertising and eventual orders of people interested in purchasing the products, putting them in contact with the sales areas of the cooperatives.

PARTNERSHIPS
Fecoagro coordinates the cooperatives that participate in partnerships with the State Government in implementing programs of exchange of seeds and lime.
